Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present sound rate recommendations to internal business leaders quarterly
  • Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections
  • Provide input on market strategy, including but not limited to competitive analyses, ad hoc actuarial studies, and other market specific projects
  • Become a trusted resource to our business leaders and other non-actuarial partners
  • Prepare and submit commercial rate filings

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of Actuarial experience
  • Advanced or higher proficiency in MS Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal forms of communication.
  • Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Technical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous health rate filing and/or pricing expertise
  • Experience presenting the results of actuarial models/studies to internal business partners and/or external clients
  • Experience with Stop Loss or Level Funded products
  • At least a basic level of proficiency with VBA, MS Access, SQL (Structured Query Language), and/or SAS (Statistical Analysis System)

Colorado Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
