Technical experience in one or more of the following areas is required: systematic literature reviews and indirect treatment comparisons (e.g. NMA, MAIC, STC, etc.) for the purposes of HTA submissions.

Senior Research Scientists collaborate across a broad portfolio of sophisticated evidence synthesis projects in a multi-level team structure. Responsibilities include development of deliverables (e.g. study protocols and technical reports), handling day-to-day client communications, as well as delegating and overseeing tasks completed by junior researchers. This position will complete complex job responsibilities independently as well as provide mentorship and direction for others in delivering project work.

What You Can Expect Day To Day
  • Leading the conduct of components of evidence synthesis projects to support the HTA process; collaborates with project leads and junior staff members to ensure high quality outputs
  • Develops client-ready deliverables including protocols, statistical analysis plans, technical reports, and slides, identifying necessary deviations from templates to ensure content aligns with objectives
  • Drafts (and sometimes reviews) update slides/minutes and actions for overall study and viewed by client as independent researcher for specific study component(s)
  • Communicates with client frequently on calls and supports project lead in responding to emails; may also be involved in face-to-face presentations to clients
  • Accountable for timely delivery and financial performance of project subcomponents; estimates required hours and identifies challenges early on and communicates any changes and possible solutions to project lead if necessary
  • Contributing to resourcing discussions
  • Supporting business development by contributing to research proposals and presentation content, participating in customer meetings
  • Serving as a line manager and mentor for junior staff
Required

Qualifications:
  • 3-6 years’ experience in health care related field
  • Master’s degree in a subject related to health services research e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health
Other Required
  • Experience of evidence synthesis methods e.g., SLR, ITC (NMA, MAIC, STC, etc.) for the purposes of HTA submissions
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and medical affairs
  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred
  • PhD in a subject related to health services research or statistics
  • Strong understanding of economic modelling, in particular experience integrating results from indirect comparisons in a cost-effectiveness framework
  • Track record of relevant publications
