Job Description
To uphold and reaffirm the System s commitment to equal employment opportunity and to support a culture of respect and inclusion in the workplace. Pursuant to its mission, the Office of EEO, through its EEO Officers, is responsible for, among other things, reviewing and responding to informal and formal complaints of discrimination, reviewing requests for reasonable accommodations, and providing specialized EEO trainings.
General tasks and responsibilities will include:
Through the supervised efforts of the Office of Legal Affairs, the responsibilities of the EEO Officer includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Sociology, Psychology or related disciplines; and,
2. Five years of progressively responsible experience in two or more of the following fields: i.e. intergroup relations, community relations, labor relations, law, social service, employment of minorities, investigations or personnel administration; or,
3. An equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to indicate ability to perform.
4. Knowledge of Federal, State and City regulations, guidelines, administrative rules and procedures governing application of Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunities Acts.
