Conventional Mortgage Underwriter (Remote)

Job DescriptionQualified candidates will have at least 5-10 years of recent underwriting experience for residential FHA/Conventional loans, FNMA and FHLMCKnowledge of credit underwriting and property evaluationPerform timely reviews of stipulations/conditions submittedAnalyze loan packages to deliver valid credit decisionsMaintain quality control standards while maintaining production standards by company's definitionProvide stellar customer service to all staff by effectively explaining credit decisionsPerform other job related duties and special projects as requiredAble to prepare reports for reviewQualificationsMust possess a minimum of 5 years experience in underwriting FHA and Conventional loans along with FNMA, FHLMCThorough understanding and strong working knowledge of credit, underwriting, credit policy and financial statement analysisKnowledge of DU and LPStrong credit, risk analysis, and analytical skillsBe able to examine loan documentation for accuracy and completenessService oriented with great personalityAbility to work with loan originators and production staff to acquire all required documentationBe familiar with fraud detection techniquesCorrespondent banking experience a plusMust posses strong credit, risk analysis and analytical skillsAdditional InformationCompetitive base salary plus aggressive sign on bonus.
