Workday Product Manager- Remote

Our client, an international advertising company, is seeking a strategic leader with strong Workday experience to join their team! This company has leadership that sits out of Seattle & Texas. The team works remotely but there may be periodic (maybe quarterly) travel for team and stakeholder meetings.

The Technology Services team oversees the delivery of services that technologically enable core finance, accounting and HR functions, including: workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding, benefits admin, accounts payable and receivable, compensation and payroll, business assets, financial close and reporting.

  • What will the Workday Product Manager do?

    Our client is seeking a Workday Product Manager to join the team. As a product manager, you will utilize agile delivery methods to drive the regular release of new service-enhancing features and solutions powered by SaaS applications. In this role you will act as product manager on an agile dev team, translate customer needs into requirements, and manage the product backlog to maximize the value of the team’s delivery and products in your portfolio.

    The Solution Delivery team partners with stakeholders from the company’s Corporate and Regional offices to enhance and improve the technologies that they use every day to perform their job. This includes HR and Financial Systems, Productivity Tools, API, IAM, BI, Content Portals, and Project and Workflow Management systems.

  • Partner with your business stakeholders to set product vision, establish strategic priorities, build product roadmaps and delivery plans
  • Develop a deep understanding of your customer’s wants and needs and effectively represent the “voice of the customer” on your team
  • Own and manage the team’s product backlog, and be accountable for maximizing the impact and value of the team’s output
  • Facilitate the development of user stories and bring clarity to what needs to be built, for whom, and why
  • Establish and measure KPIs that bring transparency to product success and business value delivered to key stakeholders
  • Ensure Transparency with all stakeholders and elicit feedback frequently to ensure the product direction matches changing business needs.
  • Evaluate product capabilities regularly to maximize investments and expose new or emerging capabilities to meet customer demand.
  • What we are looking for in the Workday Product Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferably business administration, information systems, or accounting ) or comparable work experience
  • Workday training and certification a plus
  • 3+ years full-time employment in technology-related roles (i.e., technology consulting, corporate IT, tech startup)
  • 3+ years managing the delivery of enterprise-class business software, technology services and/or support
  • 2+ years developing business requirements and technical specs at progressive levels of detail (i.e., epics, features, user stories)
  • 2+ years utilizing agile delivery methods, practices, and frameworks (ie., Scrum, Kanban, FDD, Lean)
  • 2+ years developing domain knowledge of core HR and/or Accounting business functions, processes and enabling technologies
  • 2+ years working with Workday and other cloud-based ERP/HR/Accounting software platforms and services
