Why You Might Be Excited About Us Our mission, vision, and plans are BIG-we plan to make a huge impact on global health equity one day soon. We're as small a company as it gets, so no bullshit, incredible ownership, and sky-high opportunity. There'll be be equity, too. Our CEO & Founder has successfully built and sold a business before AND already raised capital to build this one You'll get to work remotely and set your own schedule. We don't expect to have an IRL office for the foreseeable future. As the first full-time product hire, you'll get to drive key product decisions and see your work in the wild (plus used by real people every day.) Why You Might NOT Be Excited About Us We're tiny. This is about as early stage as something gets. We're not looking for someone that's doing a startup for the first time, but someone ready to do it better and bigger. We're looking for someone okay to roll with the punches-projects and priorities might shift. We're looking for a builder, not a manager (yet.) This is the stage where members of the team are rolling up their sleeves and getting into the details. This is a fast paced role, with big expectations based on our ambitions and desire to be first in the market. We know the pace and expectations won't be for everyone. Our Core ValuesWe aren't a family, we're an incredible team. A super team that does things differently... At Ness, our core values are the source of our POWER. Pencil It In We move fast, try new things fearlessly, and learn from our mistakes. One Ness We're all on the same team, have short memories, and "disagree and commit." Work Crispy We value clear, rigorous thought and we're always prepared. Embrace Your Mythical Creature Our differences make us special. Come as you are (but no trolls, please!) Right Way To Win (Not The Easy Way) We believe in doing well AND doing good. How We HireFirst, we don't discriminate. We know from experience a more diverse and inclusive team leads to bigger impact and success. 1. Meeting / First HelloYou'll talk to our CEO & Founder, Derek, on a 15-30-minute video call. There's nothing to prepare in advance. First, we want to explore if we're a good fit for each other. Derek will have reviewed your application and resume in detail, so the discussion will be focused mostly on what brings out the best in you and what's next. We want to be confident Ness can offer the environment (culture, responsibility, org structure, etc...) that's led you to the most professional success so far. Then, you'll have time to ask Derek anything! (Well, mostly anything.) 2. Interviews / Meet The teamYou'll talk to one of our technical experts and one of our other team members, each for 30-60 minutes. Again, no need to prepare anything. Here, we want to figure out if you've got the right experience for this position and working at Ness is a fit for you and us. We'll again have reviewed your application, resume, and prior meeting notes in detail, so this discussion will be mostly a "behavioral" interview and focused on what you've done before. We want to build conviction you'll succeed in this job the same way you've succeeded in the past. Then, you'll have time to ask more questions, too! 3. Take-Home / Show OffAfter this, we'll send you a take home project, similar to what would be expected of you at Ness, to get a sense of how you think and communicate! Why? Well, we believe communication skills are key for leaders in a remote-first company-and want a chance to see you share your expertise. We'll share more details about this when we get there! You'll have a week or so to complete the take-home, and then we'll schedule a time for you to meet with Derek and other members of the team to present it. 4. ReferencesOh-and, with your help, we'll reach out to folks you've worked with in the past. We're usually pretty far along here, so this is mostly about learning from outside perspectives about how to manage and empower you best. 5. Final Meeting / The HangIf relevant, we might have you also meet some other folks on the team. This can be a great opportunity to get a better feel for us and for us to get a better feel for you! 6. The Decision / Job OfferGot this far? That means you're in. Expect a personal call from Derek and welcome to the team! No recruiters or agencies, please. Thanks!
