General Dynamics Information Technology - Federal Civilian Division is currently looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Centers for HIV, Hepatitis, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Tuberculosis Prevention (NCHHSTP) Informatics Office. NCHHSTP is one of the largest Centers within the CDC and it's mission is to maximize public health and safety through the elimination, prevention, and control of disease, disability, and death caused by human immuno-deficiency virus (HIV) infections and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), non-HIV retroviruses, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases, and tuberculosis.The purpose of this position is to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive IT solutions and systems development for the Informatics Office and their programs. The Senior Full Stack Developer will work with other team members to design and develop various software components.The Senior Full Stack Developer willLeadthe redesign of an existing legacy application.Conduct full lifecycle activities to include requirements analysis, design, development, and testing.Collaborate with and across teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack tools and technologiesDefine system objectives by analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionalityDesign and develop complex applications by setting expectations and feature prioritiesConduct design and code reviews to ensure design principles are followed by peer developers.Take responsibility of comprehensive unit testing to ensure code quality prior to releases.QUALIFICATIONS:Required skills and experience:Bachelor's degree and 7 or more years' experience. (Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related area is preferred)5 or more years of solid experience with full life-cycle software development5 or more years of extensive experience with Microsoft Technology Stack (C#, ASP.NET)3 or more years of experience implementing .NET REST APIs using .NET CoreFront end web experience with one or more of these: React, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS.Proficiency with relational databases such SQL Server; complex ETL processes and other data management technologiesExperience in cloud computing, and development experience in Microsoft Azure cloud environmentsDesired skills and experience:Experience with tools such as Git, Docker, Bitbucket, Razor, Blazor, and Angular.Experience working in an Agile development teamSuperior technical documentation skills.Experience with upgrading and redesigning of legacy systems.CI/CD best practicesExperience with statistical programming such as SAS including Macros, SUDAAN, R.Knowledge of developing applications in a Microservice architectureExposure to DevOps tools, Automation & ContainerizationSkills and Attributes:Excellent listening and interpersonal skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and requirements with the ability to meet project deadlinesMotivated and collaborative team player#AtlantaFederalHealthOpportunities We are GDIT.
