Position Title: Software Developer
Reporting To: Software Development Manager
Department: Technology
Location: Portland, Oregon Office / United States (Remote)
Responsibilities
Work with project team to develop full stack applications
Work independently, seeing through a project from conception to production.
Design intuitive, visually appealing, and functional front-end applications
Develop back-end web services interacting with data stores.
Design and develop and consume APIs
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Write technical documentation
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Requirements
Computer Science, Engineering degree or equivalent experience
Experience as a Full Stack Engineer developing production hardened applications
Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
Experience developing with Cloud based technologies and associated APIs (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap)
Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Java, node.js, php)
Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React)
Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySql, PostgreSQL), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
Knowledge of code versioning tools such as GIT and CI/CD processes
Problem solving and debugging skills
Experience with Windows and Linux platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills
Great attention to detail
Organizational skills
Critical thinking skills
