Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a DevOps Engineer in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities

  • Build the next generation Mainframe pipeline initiative across the enterprise that impacts software development delivery and quality
  • Work with teams to understand the flow of value to production and collaboratively build solutions that reduce friction and delays
  • Become a focal point for new capabilities adoption through experimentation and shared experiences
  • Work with the DevOps Product and Delivery teams to drive adoption of DevOps capabilities across the enterprise
  • Incorporate test automation, CICD, TDM, CM, RM tools and processes towards a Continuous Delivery Model
  • Serve as subject matter expert in one or more technologies/platforms or highly specialized area(s), and have a working knowledge of other related domains
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement new uses of information technologies which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives
Desired Qualifications
  • Significant experience working with Jenkins to build shared pipelines, including writing and maintaining Groovy shared libraries
  • Familiar with DevOps tools/products, such as uDeploy, Ansible, Artifactory, GitHub, rundeck, Glu, Puppet, Chef, CI (Jenkins) and monitoring tools (APM) that are open and commercial
  • Experience developing (all the mainframe objects) using both IDE (IDz) and/or TSO ISPF
  • Experience building, compiling mainframe objects using IBM DBB or other build tools
  • Experience building and maintaining deploy processes across many mainframe products using uDeploy or other deployment automation tools targeting the mainframe
  • A working understanding of overall mainframe architecture
