Learn more at THE OPPORTUNITY Position can be located remotely but preferably close to the Colorado area in case onsite client visits are needed. Applicants must already be located in the U.S. and this role is not eligible for sponsorship. As a key member of Global Corporate Communications function, this role successfully develops and implements key internal communications, including the development, creation and distribution of internal communications content to all employees, and supports events and projects to improve the employee engagement experience and keep employees informed about the business. The effective communications programs and deliverables you implement will drive shared understanding and a strong company culture, supporting Avaya's business objectives and its ability to attract and retain the best talent. This role works closely with a wide range of functions and geographies, and all levels of the company, from C-level management to interns. You'll execute creative, innovative ideas to inform, motivate, and align team members; partner closely with Human Resources, Public Relations and Marketing colleagues to identify key topics, themes and messaging to share company-wide; and bring best practices to support our effort to build a people-first culture. This highly collaborative position requires great people skills, excellent writing and editing skills, as well as a passion for storytelling. Experience with content management systems and communications tools is important. Ability to deliver quality results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.#LI-LD1ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES • Write, edit and produce engaging content for internal publication via various digital media platforms, including written materials, podcasts, videos, intranet site, etc. • Work closely with cross-functional peers to develop and deliver important and timely messages to global employees • Develop new ideas to continually improve our internal communications and shared understanding of the company vision, mission and strategy • Assist with logistical tasks for employee engagement projects and special events. • Excellent graphic design skills and an eye for presenting content in fun, creative ways. (Think infographics, memes, etc.) • Extreme attention to detail and highly organized. • Excellent computer literacy, Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint and Word), Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop). • Other administrative tasks, as assigned.ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS SKILLS & COMPETENCIES • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field • Passionate storyteller with excellent content-generation skills • Understands how to cut through clutter and put people first • Strong project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally • Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities effectively and often under tight timelines • Team-first attitude, flexible and eager to bring any great idea to fruition • Ability to take initiative to open and close the loop on communications projectsEXPERIENCE 3 - 6 Years of ExperienceEDUCATION Bachelor degree or equivalent experienceFOOTER Avaya is an Equal Opportunity employer and a U.S. Federal Contractor.
