We are truly a one-of-a-kind company!Position SummaryThe Director of Delivery's primary responsibility is to lead and manage a team of Shopify developers. This includes managing delivery to customers, ensuring the right team members are placed in the correct positions, managing relationships with our customers as needed, and enforcing the use of best practices. The director is also responsible for hiring, onboarding, and assisting resourcing as it relates to the members of the team. This position should also be able to work with other departments to ensure smooth and successful operations across the company as it pertains to delivery. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist team members and other departments to ensure our clients have a positive experience working with usAssist team members to ensure the successful delivery of every customer engagementEnsure team members have access to the tools and materials they need to deliver on their day-to-day required activities.Ensure proper process and SDLC are being followed across all projects Assist with the training, onboarding, and mentoring of Shopify developersOversee and assist with the creation and updating of process and training documentation Ensure career paths exist for individuals and work with them to make sure they are on the right paths to meet their personal goals.Work with People Leaders and Mentors to ensure the robust development of all individuals.Align with Platform leadership and Operations on project resourcing and staffing needs Act as customer point of contact for escalations involving projects team members are involved inAlign with Estimation Manager on project estimations Review and sign-off of estimations and SOWs as neededAssist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring to fill immediate needs as well as plan for forecasted growth Assist sales with technical support and strategic alignment Enforce company policy and architectural alignment QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing technical teams5+ years of experience in design, development and support of large scale web application developmentThorough and deep knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile processes Knowledge of or ability to understand technologies such as Javascript, Liquid, HTML, CSS, SOAP, REST, GraphQL, Git, ShopifyAbility to communicate and document technical designs to both internal and external technical resourcesProven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skillsExcellent leadership and management skillsCapable of driving and defending design models and best practices Ability to inspire confidence in clients and provide leadership to implementation teams Strategic planning skills to help navigate internal and external customer requirements.Ability to understand unique and complex business requirements and help develop plans to solve short and long term problems.Ability to coach and guide employees through career paths EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science and/or equivalent experience in development industryFull Time, Non-Temporary Employees enjoy a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, disability, paid time off, 401(k), and more!
