Job Description

Position Summary

Advance Auto Parts is looking for a Corporate Compliance Specialist to join our Legal/Compliance team. The ideal candidate has experience administering a reporting hotline, including experience compiling and analyzing hotline-related data. The candidate also has experience with program metrics, monitoring, and Corporate Compliance program support for risk areas such as anti-bribery/corruption, conflicts of interest, data privacy, employment and third parties.

This position will report to the Compliance Director, who reports to the Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction and guidance of the Compliance Director, this role:

  • Administers the day-to-day operations of the Company's reporting hotline and case management system, including preparing investigation and allegation metrics for periodic reporting to management. Works closely with Human Resources and other stakeholders to ensure investigations meet Company standards.
  • Monitors business processes using data analytics and other strategies to assess compliance with controls, confirms on-time completion of mitigation plans, and creates metrics to show the Ethics and Compliance Program's performance.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally across business areas to support the implementation of policies, systems and programs that drive organizational compliance with relevant laws, regulations and standards.
  • Assists in the development, delivery and on-going management of training, policies and tools that support business goals and the compliance strategy.
  • Uses tools to stay abreast of relevant regulatory changes, such as data privacy laws, and communicates these to management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Compliance Director or Chief Compliance Officer.

Skills & Experience

  • Handles all compliance and ethics matters with sensitivity and maintains strict confidentiality of all work material and activities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well independently and cross functionally.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely comment on metrics or other data analysis.
  • Adapts to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, prioritizes and handles multiple tasks, and exhibits attention to detail.
  • Fosters a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is required; familiarity with business analytics / data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
  • Experience with Navex's EthicsPoint Incident Management system or another hotline case management system is preferred.
  • Experience in Retail industry is preferred.
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification is a plus.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university and 1-3 years' experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
