Summary:
The Program Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for an NPI (New Product Introduction) project and/or engineering change order related sourcing activities. Duties will also include sourcing activities related to customer budgetary quoting process, pricing negotiations with the suppliers and making award decisions based on supplier capabilities, pricing analysis and supply chain strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Based on internal and customer requirements, ability to quickly review large bill of materials for new awards and/or product transitions to determine manufacturing items VS purchased items.

• Based on internal and customer requirements, supply chain strategy and supplier capabilities, identify suppliers for quoting on all purchased items for new awards, product transitions and/or engineering change orders.

• Acts as primary contact for customer support.

• Provide support to internal customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Ability to build drawing packages required for quoting.
• Ability to estimate cost for products either regionally or globally.
• Expedite quotations from the suppliers for all products either regionally or globally.
• Maintain good relationship with Celestica suppliers.
• Negotiate cost for products as required either regionally or globally.
• Have total involvement in all phases of the product transition process.
• Generate reports and track product specific first article inspection requirements.
• Generate material cost BOM used for bidding and presentation to management.
• Ability to identify cost down opportunities on existing products.
• Lead projects related to cost down opportunities and track cost savings.
• Ability to submit internal and/or customer requests for sourcing and/or engineering related changes.
• May be asked to participate and/or lead supplier initial and periodic assessments.
• Represent Dialog in a professional manner to all supported customers.
• Ensure clarity in communication and follow-up of all actions. 
• Communicate overall status according to an agreed schedule to all stakeholders

Required knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes of all parts and assemblies, procedures and production equipment.
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint).
• Due to global responsibilities late or early meeting attendances will be required.

• Requires up to 25% domestic and or international travel.

Experience :
• Three to six years of relevant experience 

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the Semiconductor industry

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Location: This can be a remote position, with travel as necessary up to 25%. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
