Head of Freight (Fully Remote)
Summary: The Head of Freight will supervise staff, establish company goals and objectives, implement and improve the usage of technology, formulate budgets, and monitor transportation expenditures
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for a small team.
Strategically grow the team and provide the oversight and supervision needed to expand.
Oversee the entire life cycle including but not limited to acquisition, distribution, and delivery, and step-in when needed.
Must have strong communication, problem-solving, and exceptional organizational skills.
Provide financial oversight, accountability on goal-setting, and motivation.
Work Experience/Qualifications
Min of five years of related experience
McLeod Software experience
Entrepreneurial spirit and has a strong sense of ownership
Ability to strategize the most efficient and cost-effective methods for producing and shipping goods
Responsible for directing the supply chain and must be proficient with computer software and technical inventory systems to ensure efficient daily and weekly production, transportation, inventory, warehousing, and delivery demands.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
