Senior Networking Architect
Direct Hire – Duluth, GA -- 150-225K/year

Summary:

Our client is looking for experienced networking professionals that want to grow in their careers and work with a team of architects that are helping businesses transform in significant ways.  If you have corporate experience but are limited in your growth opportunities or are deep in one vendor’s product set but would like to be more of an industry expert, Client provides the culture and learning environment that makes that possible.

We are an architecture-led integrator that has developed long-standing partnerships with medium and large enterprise organizations throughout the southeast, many of which have national and/or global footprints.  We are large enough to have the resources and customer base that provide significant opportunity for personal and professional growth, but remain small enough to maintain a strong culture where everyone is valued, your voice is heard and your contributions are appreciated.

The Senior Networking Architect is responsible for consultation, design and architecture of networking and security solutions for both private and public cloud environments.  We take an integrative, versus rip and replace, approach that focuses on helping customers optimize existing investments and introduce healthy disruption to remain competitive and achieve business goals.  These solutions may involve both technology and process, as well as staffing recommendations to support such solutions.

You will be expected to engage in pre-sales with clients on-site and remotely.  In addition to consultation, design, and architecture, you will also be responsible for positioning, demonstrating, comparing, assessing, and recommending enterprise networking and security solutions either for the customer or internally for our business.  This is a full-time solution architecture role.  While some of your work may be billable due to scope, you are not subject to a billable hours utilization requirement in this role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Design sophisticated, multi-vendor wired and wireless networks using the latest in technologies to improve the quality of business operations for prospective and existing customers.
  • Engage as technical ambassador in a pre-sales role with the goal of building long-term business relationships and, ideally, becoming an extension of your customers’ technical leadership teams.
  • As an extended member of customers’ teams enhance their abilities to select and evaluate technologies to meet their business needs.
  • Participate in customer facing meetings to qualify business and technical requirements to be used in the design and delivery of customer tailored solutions that solve business driven requirements.
  • Represent Client at Industry Conferences and Vendor Technical Advisory Boards.
  • Contribute to Client’s internal technical improvement processes, including testing and selection of new products and vendors/partners.
  • Maintain required certifications.
  • Assist in mentoring and training other members of the Solutions Architecture team.
