Job Summary and Mission

As Systems Analyst on the Partner Technology team, you will work to achieve this mission by enhancing, extending, and supporting Partner Central (Employee Central) platform to uplift the employee engagement and experience. 

This job contributes to Starbucks success by delivering and supporting technology solutions in support of HR technology initiatives. As a systems analyst, you will design and deploy HR technology solutions establishing key business capabilities & enabling the realization of strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

You will be working on requirements analysis, solution design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of key employee central functions like business rules, workflows, position management & MDF objects. This role requires proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors Core HR (Employee Central platform) as well as knowledge and experience in internal and external EC integrations and relevant experience in other SuccessFactors modules.
Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex core HR business needs and work with business partners to document, configure, implement and test changes in Employee Central 
  • Performs application configuration in support of solution delivery initiatives 
  • Participates in design sessions and provide feedback on the solution. Supports integration teams, data conversion teams and security (RBP) team
  • Partner with QA to support solution testing efforts by developing test plans, preparing test environments, performing test execution, and validating test results
  • Utilizes agile delivery methodologies and participates on scrum teams in execution of solution delivery projects
  • Considers overall user technology experience in thoughtfully designing engaging solutions 
  • Collaborates with product managers and engineering to define requirements, KPIs and user experience
  • Lead small streams of design work and perform end to end solution design and implementation
  • Review replication issues, provide feedback and test as needed
  • Provide support of critical systems by leveraging subject matter expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting moderately complex system/user issues to drive resolution and determine root cause. Also able to review as-is and t-be processes and identify gaps in EC standard solution
  • Coordinates issue resolution efforts across peer support groups, business users and vendors as required. Provides timely and thorough communication regarding issue status/resolution with end-users and team.
  • Creates system and end-user documentation to support new system implementation, enhancement deployment, and incident management efforts
  • Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 3+ years of relevant SuccessFactors Employee Central (hands on) experience
  • Basic understanding of human capital management (HCM) technology platforms and applications 
  • Understand development lifecycle and SCRUM methodology
  • Ability to support enterprise business applications and integrated system environments.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate the efforts of others and drive consensus across a diverse group of functional, technical, and business resources with conflicting or competing priorities.
  • Ability to negotiate priorities, approach, designs and ideas with team members and customers
  • Ability to work with process owners to identify information technology solutions that enable business process improvements 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment and deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to drive work to completion effectively in self-directed manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to interact with senior leadership, technical and business resources. 
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • SuccessFactors Employee Central Certification 
  • Reporting and Workforce analytics experience in SuccessFactors
  • Configuration knowledge of relevant applications/modules/platforms within SuccessFactors 
  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
