Marketing Automation Developer - Remote Opportunity

This person will report to the Director of Data Integration within our delivery team. The right candidate will have an established track record of managing data support and distribution of marketing automation efforts within an agency and/or corporate organization. The candidate will join a team focused on building a center of excellence around marketing automation to drive value for HLK and its clients.The candidate will support marketing automation programs for a key agency client in the health industry as well as other clients as needed on a project-by-project basis. The candidate will have a strong understanding of the data requirements needed to build marketing automation programs within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This position will work closely with other teams to gather strategic and tactical input, understand objectives, and prepare appropriate solutions for internal clients. To support marketing campaigns and plans to attract new customers, solidify brands, optimize product line performance and engage with current customers the candidate needs to be able to work in a variety of scenarios including independently, directly with clients and collaboratively with different groups within HLK.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Python to manage data aggregation, architecture, hygiene and distribution for clients and internal key stakeholders
  • Utilize experience with SQL and AMPscript development
  • Bring to the team an understanding of Python and Database Management Systems
  • Ensure continued data accuracy and alignment with Salesforce Marketing Cloud campaign objectives
  • Conduct quality data reviews, troubleshooting and user acceptance testing to verify business requirements are metIdentify target audiences through complex data analyses and segmentation via external tools and platform features, such as filters, queries and automations
  • Partner with Product Owners, Marketing Automation Managers, Strategists and client contacts to validate proper injection criteria
  • Advise on data segmentation processes and promote best practices to guarantee improved business operations and enhanced member engagement
  • Validate data transformations and system integrations 
  • Assist analytics with identifying, organizing and delivering data for ongoing reporting and analytics tasksStrategize, develop and implement data automation opportunities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex scripting and data issues
  • Engage in strategic and technical discussions
  • Communicate recommendations and insights to internal team members as well as client contacts
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of two years of marketing automation experience
  • Experience with SQL and AMP script development
  • Understanding of Python and Database Management Systems is preferred
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask projects within a cross-functional team
  • Strong, independent decision-making, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal communications and presentation skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
