RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client, a growing company in the Irvine, CA area is seeking a few Remote Senior Embedded Software Engineers due to the growth of the company. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on these exclusive search assignments. Our client offers an excellent compensation package including base salary, Annual bonus plan, Shares of Stock/RSU's, Benefits, Generous PTO, 401K matching, etc. These positions are 100% remote. Responsibilities of the Senior Embedded Software Engineers:
  • Senior Embedded Software Engineers designs, develops, modifies, and tests software
  • Will be responsible for designing and developing software applications
  • Identifies opportunities in software process, discusses with peers, and implements proposals to address gaps
  • May manage working interactions with external vendors and resources ensuring that deliverable and timelines are met
  • Senior Embedded Software Engineers will be responsible for software design specifications, interface descriptions, and other software documentations; may act as documentation owner for projects
  • Translates high-level requirements into software design and implementation
  • Contributes to software architecture
  • Guide software validation (write, dry run & review) & leads verification protocols
  • Senior Embedded Software Engineers develops unit tests and analyzes test coverage per software process documents; reviews and provides feedback to Junior Engineers
  • Manages source code effectively using Source Code Management (SCM) tools, processes and procedures
  • Independently diagnoses, replicates and addresses build and deployment issues
  • Senior Embedded Software Engineers ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements


Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Senior Embedded Software Engineers with a BS degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience
  • At least 5-10+ years' experience in the field of embedded software for a highly regulated industry
  • Strong experience in embedded programming in C is required
  • Skilled at translating high level requirements into software design and implementation
  • Able to work independently and deliver high quality work product without close supervision
  • Able to articulate work assignments and direct the work of more junior team members
  • Able to effectively convey information related to work product and lead group discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead work teams
  • Proficient with formal software test methodologies
  • Experience with low energy blue tooth is a plus but not required
  • Experience with Free RTOS and or SAFE RTOS or other type of RTOS
  • Experience with highly regulated industries such as medical device, aerospace or semiconductor would be ideal
  • Experience with hand-held or small devices is a plus
  • Experience with Python or JavaScript are plusses
  • Experience in C++ is a plus
  • Experience with Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM's) is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) preferred
  • An understanding of FDA and/or HIPAA regulations is a plus but not required
