**POSITION SUMMARY**
We are currently seeking a strategic business marketing advisor aligned to Evernorth, Cigna's Health Services business segment focused on supporting key lines of business including the Express Scripts contract with the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to support the TRICARE pharmacy benefit program and other Commercial Division clients.
This role requires a focus in business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing strategy, message development, product marketing and campaign development experience. The ideal candidate will exhibit proven ability to work cross-functionally in development and execution of a comprehensive message and strategic marketing framework aligned to enterprise goals and in support of the needs of our clients.
To succeed in this role the candidate must possess strong ability to navigate a complex matrixed environment, be comfortable challenging the status quo, and be the connective tissue that brings cross-functional groups together to translate business objectives into sound B2B and B2C marketing strategies. Candidate will work with a broad array of business partners in marketing, account management and other cross-functional partners.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Work with leader and cross-functional partners to build and execute strategic marketing plan aligned to the goals of the DHA/Department of Defense line of business.
+ Actively engage with account team to understand the unique needs of the Department of Defense, their beneficiaries and care providers (physicians, pharmacists etc.) to translate complex and diverse subject matter into compelling ideas and messages aligned to organizational and client goals.
+ Partner with marketing leaders and capability centers (brand, creative services, paid/owned/social, marketing operations, etc.) to execute marketing campaigns, develop educational collateral, and drive engagement from beneficiaries and providers.
+ Lead marketing planning and execution of key Commercial Division and Department of Defense-contracted tradeshows including overall experience, communications, content, presentation and collateral development, reporting success metrics, etc. - by working with marketing, sales/account teams and capability centers.
+ Responsible for sharing data and creating marketing insights (from web, social, email campaigns, events/tradeshows, others) with account teams as a means to teach them about their clients, highlight opportunities and overall inform our consultative partnership with clients. Also to educate marketing (and other partners) about key trends based on this data.
+ Cross functional/matrix management with strong ability to influence others and create accountability to achieve business goals and marketing objectives.
**IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL OFFER:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing or other discipline, Master's is desirable
+ 5+ years of marketing and business strategy experience, must have both business to business and direct to consumer experience.
+ Strong Modern Marketer: ability to understand and grasp marketing strategy and approach, leverage data and insights to inform strategy and recommended approach, link business need to action, understand how to leverage digital tactics/channels to execute marketing strategy.
+ Excellent storyteller with an ability to create simple and differentiated messages and pull through marketing tactics.
+ **Health care industry and/or military experience (military veteran, military spouse or other military connections) a plus**
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills: role does require writing and editing of market-facing collateral and communications.
+ Ability to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment across multiple functions and in support of diverse buyers and geographies.
+ Critical thinker and creative problem solver, who exercises good judgment in resolving difficult situations, prioritizes and can balance needs with enterprise objectives
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, and juggle multiple, sometimes competing, priorities and requirements
+ Ability to lead at the _top of your license_ while also performing executional tasks to support marketing and account team priorities
+ Previous experience working with and briefing internal creative teams or outside agencies.
+ Experience executing strategy within timeline, budget and quality standards
+ Travel required occasionally (less than 10%).
