This position is part of the Market Access, Health Economics & Policy Department and will be a remote opportunity with the successful candidate living in the Central or Eastern part of the U.S.

You will be a part of the Market Access, Health Economics & Policy team and report to the Director, Market Access, Health Policy & Strategy. If you thrive in a dynamic role and want to work to build a world-class market access organization—read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct and deliver US market access, health policy and reimbursement assessments for Danaher Diagnostics and Life Science Operating Company (OpCo) products and technologies
  • Identify and monitor federal health programs, policies and reimbursement trends affecting OpCo technologies customers
  • Analyze and quantify the potential business impacts of various CMS programs and policies, including proposed and final regulations, and communicating these to internal leaders and stakeholders
  • Lead and support internal and external stakeholder (e.g., coalition, trade association) efforts to improve CMS programs and policies to ensure favorable access and reimbursement to OpCo products and technologies
  • Prepare comment letters, policy briefs, publications, and other persuasive communications and resources to support policy objectives
  • Develop health policy & reimbursement associate training resources and educational materials regarding federal health policy & reimbursement trends, programs and policies
  • The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor Degree with 9+ years’ experience OR Master Degree with 7+ years’ experience OR Doctoral Degree with 4+ years’ experience in Healthcare, Healthcare Administration, Life Science, Health Economics or other relevant field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products: PowerPoint (animation, graphics, infographics, explainers); Excel (advanced data analytics, visuals such as charts, dashboards and other visuals; database creation and management); Teams (Whiteboard; Forms, Surveys, OneNote, e.g.)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of continuous and recent medical device industry developing and leading US Medicare health policy & reimbursement strategies across CMS payment systems, fee schedules, quality programs and initiatives (e.g., IPPS, OPPS, ASC, PFS, MIPS, APMs, ACOs, etc.)
  • Ability to apply analytical skills, critical thinking and sound judgment to solve problems with limited information at hand
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, estimated to be 15% - 25%
  • It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Professional coding certification via the American Academy of Professional Coders (e.g., CPC), American Health Information Management Association (e.g., RHIA) or other relevant accredited coding organization.
