Senior Freight Forwarding Sales Executive

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Senior Freight Forwarding

Sales Executive is responsible for acquiring and growing clients.

Job Type: Full-time / Work from home

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets.
  • Prepare action plans to accomplish personal goals.
  • Seek out new clients through prospecting and networking.
  • Establish a market presence – potentially in a unique industry vertical.
  • Establish executive level relationships with prospects and clients.
  • Follow-up on leads generated by marketing.
  • Represent the current and growing suite of our client’s products and services.
  • Coordinate with all business functions (marketing, sales, and operations) to ensure a positive client experience.
  • Adhere to our client’s processes and operating procedures.
  • Price and negotiate our client’s products and services.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and improve marketing and sales collateral.
  • Learn the CargoWise platform and internal operating procedures.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
  • Prepare and assist with paperwork required to onboard and maintain clients.
  • Follow-up for collection of payment.
  • Other sales duties as assigned.
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years in customer-facing role in the import/freight forwarding industry.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • High EQ and personal integrity.
  • Strong sales and leadership capability.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to navigate and excel in a team environment.
  • Ability to identify issues and act with a sense of urgency to resolve them.
  • Computer savvy and proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience and presence on social media platforms.
  • Experience and commitment in CRM.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time.
  • Experience working with CargoWise is a plus.
This position offers a competitive base salary.
