Position Summary & Key Responsibilities

Korn Ferry is seeking a Senior Consultant to join the Leadership & Professional Development Solution Area of its Advisory Practice. This consulting role is focused on instructional design of our leadership development programs. The position has been set up that the person can work out of a Korn Ferry office or be remote.

Your primary focus is to support the solution design by serving as an Instructional Designer on both standard solutions and customized programs. Ideal candidate should have formal instructional design training with experience in designing and implementing leadership development solutions that span classroom, virtual classroom, and digital methodologies. Additionally, they should be highly organized and results driven. This role requires strong project management and client service capabilities. Facilitation and/or coaching experience is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities include leadership development solution design, delivery implementation, and contributing to the Leadership & Professional Development community of practice.

A typical breakdown of focus areas is provided below:

Instructional Design (60-70%)

  • Work with clients and the KF engagement team to design high-impact leadership development programs. This includes conducting interviews and diagnostics, identifying program objectives, developing learning architecture, and instructional design.
  • Work with internal Subject Matter Experts to create standard solutions that can be utilized around the globe and customized to meet the needs of clients.
  • Create, update, and edit participant and facilitator materials (workbooks, slides, facilitator guides, etc.).
  • Solicit and incorporate feedback from a variety of stakeholders (clients, facilitators, executives, and KF team members) to enhance design, impact, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams creating an atmosphere of trust, inclusion, and quality to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate effectively with graphic designers, project managers, and fulfillment teams.
  • Research and share new methodologies and technologies for continuous improvement and innovation with current Korn Ferry solutions.
  • Delivery Implementation (20-30%)

  • Liaise with clients and delivery teams to ensure high quality work that meets or exceeds expectations for timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Grow knowledge of engagement economics to ensure accurate scope, margin, and profitability of work.
  • Facilitate programs in a virtual classroom to better understand design implications and quality of work (majority of delivery is done in ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Connect).
  • Engagement delivery of end-to-end leadership development solutions with clients (e.g. participant activities, communications, timelines/work flow, managing KF deliverables to clients, etc.).
  • Identify opportunities to expand work within existing accounts.
  • Contribute to L&PD Solution Community (up to 10%)

  • Contribute to internal research projects or initiatives to expand and/or strengthen IP and solution relevance in the marketplace
  • Education, Experience, & Other Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree required, higher degree preferred, plus some (3+ years) relevant work experience in a consultancy and/or a corporate HR function.
  • Proven track record of success implementing leadership development programs.
  • Experience conducting a needs analysis and subsequent design of talent management, assessment, and Leadership Development solutions to achieve the desired organizational objectives/needs.
  • Knowledgeable about talent management, leadership development, and adult learning trends.
  • Must be highly organized, driven, and results oriented.
  • Able to build rapport with all types of people including senior executives and have excellent customer service skills.
