We are currently looking for a Sr. Project Manager, Security to join our team About the role:This position resides formally within the Enterprise PMO, while being fully dedicated from a workforce perspective to supporting the Enterprise Security Department. Overall this role will have equal parts general program management duties as it will specific project management oversight. Serving as the organization's first wholly dedicated Security Project Manager the role will have two primary accountabilities. The first accountability will be working closely with Security departmental leadership (CISO, Security VP/AVP roles) to understand the current project and initiative demands on the security teams today and assume traditional project management oversight for those variety of activities. In this capacity the role will closely with senior level Security leadership from an overall program management perspective to provide insight on program resourcing, prioritization, and ability to execute according to defined timelines. This will incorporate not only defined project efforts, but also lifecycle program maturity and growth initiatives to ensure they are meeting the defined growth and maturity timeline expectations. This team member will require significant demonstrated security expertise and background in understanding concepts covering security compliance, penetration testing, application security, network/systems security, data protection, identity access management principles and protocols, vendor risk management, vulnerability management, etc.The second accountability will be working within the established Enterprise PMO department to understand enterprise-wide demand, diversity and priority of projects, and anticipated projects currently in planning and/or proposal phases. With that understand this role will be expected to directly represent where Security involvement will be required, and the capacity of those Security teams to participate. This role will also have direct exposure and participation in globally prioritized efforts such as merger and acquisition integration activities. This team member will need to be able to understand both traditional and emergent-technology oriented Security concepts, technologies, and governing compliance and regulatory mandates. The team member will then require the skills to translate complex highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences to establish support and advocacy for the initiatives under management. In addition to this role's primary areas of accountability, the ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated interest in furthering their knowledge and skillset regarding security technologies within the organization. This role will provide the opportunity for in-depth technical exposure to, and participation in, exercises like cyber range incident response, penetration-testing methodology, implementation and operationalization of new and cutting-edge security technologies, security automation and orchestration efforts, buildout of identity infrastructures, etc.Essential Functions: Work daily and directly with Security departmental senior leadership in a program-management oriented capacity to evaluate existing departmental workload, prioritization, and resourcing; and deliver program resourcing and feasibility briefings and recommendations to that leadership group Interview and work with the distinct managers within each security workstream to wholly understand their current workloads and priorities, and identify areas where direct project management support will be most beneficial Work within the Enterprise PMO to advocate for security inclusion and participation as appropriate; and be able to distinguish which specific security functions require primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of involvement Act as a PMO liaison to the security department, educating those teams on status and resource demands coming into the Security function from across multiple distinct departments Work closely with Security departmental leadership to evaluate and mature the organizational metrics and reporting programs, and assume primary accountability for construction, management, and delivery of a variety of reports Participate in technical deep-dives into highly complex technical security projects in order to understand complex technical, vendor, or resource capacity dependencies, both within security projects and amongst those that intersect with security initiatives Consult with and provide advisory directly to the CISO and CIO on security efforts requiring heavy-lift assistance from other technology teams to operationalize, and ensure that operational resources on all teams are aligned on priority, level of effort, and delivery timeline requirements. Assist CISO and departmental leadership in developing program roadmaps, budgetary projections, and board level reporting requirements Responsible for work streams to develop new services and programs to meet client or business specific needs. May coordinate external vendors, personnel from multiple lines of service and information technology systems resources. Strategically and tactfully determine resolutions to issues as they arise with limited direction. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. Manages risks and mitigations accordingly. Lead, manage and facilitate concurrent projects, while remaining flexible with changing priorities, timeframes and scope of services required. Ability to function in a collaborative consultative work environment, with matrixed teams and workgroups cross-organizationally and cross-functionally. May assist Senior Project Manager and leadership as requested as well as support activities with the Enterprise Project Management team Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
