Our client, a successful ecommerce and specialty store retailer, is seeking an Omni Merchandise Planner to be a critical driver in managing the margin and inventory through end-to-end optimization across DTC + omni-channel business. This is considered a remote role and would only require coming into headquarters in NYC 1x a month approximately.

Responsibilities:

  • Build financial sales, gross margin, and inventory plans
  • Responsible for OTB re-forecasting at a weekly level to reflect trends and solutions for risks and opportunities
  • Draw upon experience with analysis to develop the financial classification plans/key items plans for sales, margin, and inventory
  • Collaborate with merchant team to develop a pre-season strategy that aligns financial and product opportunities across multiple departments, by style/sku targets each season
  • Proactively identify issues and opportunities within product mix and use analytics and creative problem solving to drive profitable solutions
  • Actively recommend markdown and liquidation strategies to maximize omni-channel profitability
  • Ensure alignment of top/down and bottoms/up style/color plans with merchandising strategies and financial targets
  • Partner with the Inventory Planning team to maximize omni profitability through pre-season store cluster analysis, initial allocation, DC management, and in-season management
  • Drive profitability through leading and executing promotional and markdown strategies which align with divisional and brand financial goals
  • Analyze business weekly to identify trends and highlight selling that exceeds or falls short of expectation
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience years of experience in Retail/Omni Planning which includes knowledge of buying and allocation
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or related field – MBA a plus
  • Superior Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Proven ability to interpret and synthesize data into intelligent business decisions
  • Ability to work with a collaborative team via Zoom and scheduled meetings which is proud to boast their successes via remote
