The Collateral Quality Specialist position provides feedback to Collateral Quality and Education Team, Collateral Risk and Project Review (aka "Condo") departments based on quality reviews completed on project review and loan warranties. Reviews are conducted to ensure compliance with all FIMC, Lender and Agency requirements. The Collateral Quality Specialist will identify risk within these reviews as well at training opportunities and will report all identified items to the Collateral Quality and Education Team leadership. (NOTE: Previous mortgage loan experience required; previous collateral/condo experience strongly preferred.)


Essential Job Functions:
· Completes collateral quality control reviews on reviews completed by the Project Review Team reviewers and on issued loan warranties
· Provides feedback to Project Review Team reviewers and management regard review findings
· Oversees project review quality to ensure warranties are issued in compliance with published policy(s) and departmental procedures
· Works to identify training opportunities and assists with continual education of Project Review Team reviewers regarding policy and guideline changes


Required Knowledge and Skills:
· Knowledge and understanding of collateral project underwriting and FNMA/FHLMC guidelines
· Experience with quality control auditing and providing peer review feedback
· Experience with training development and facilitation
· Solid knowledge and understanding of customer service and interpersonal best practices

Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and work experience
· Experience with collateral reviews, auditing and training or related experience
· Experience with condominium collateral project reviews (preferred)
· Demonstrated experience with analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and making solid business decisions
· Demonstrated experience leading by example to foster relationships within the company and department
· Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, time management, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere
· Demonstrated experience with MS Office software products
