The Senior Data Analyst will work with stakeholders within the Healthcare Network Analytics domain to perform analysis, manipulation, and visualization/reporting of data for variety of analytics solutions. This includes working with vast amounts of data from varied sources to help discover insights that lead to more effective and automated decisions across Clinical Processes.

Primary Responsibilities

To perform various analyses and produce automated reports for Key Performance Initiatives:

  • Develop reports to track ongoing performance of clinical programs using Power BI
  • Provide consultation to the clinical program team on appropriate data sources and analytic
  • Develop ETL, workflows and automated reporting solutions as needed by the business
  • To maintain Clinical Database that supports KPI reporting
  • Support operational analytics and process improvement data deep dive, identify, and execute on new opportunities for increases in efficiencies and performance
  • Work with clinical program teams and various data reporting teams to create inventive ways of capturing clinical information through claims and prior authorization data or other health care management tools
  • Perform various ADHOC analysis
  • Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing SQL based RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, MySQL)
  • 3+ years of experience working on ETL tools preferable SSIS
  • Advance level of SQL querying (nested queries, dynamic SQL, pivoting syntax, "with" creation)
  • RDBMS management experience (normalization, tables constraints, etc)
  • Experience in Healthcare analytics, deep understanding of Claims, Members, Providers data
  • Familiarity with Clinical terminology such as Procedure, Revenue, Diagnosis Codes, APRDRGs, etc

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with SAS
  • Statistical analysis skills
  • Advance experience with MS Excel (creating charts, macros, Power Pivot)
  • Experience mining large data sets
  • Solid understanding of clinical management activities of a large managed healthcare organization
  • Live in EST or CST time zone
