Job Summary

The Business Solution team is responsible for the implementation, upgrade efforts and support of Corporate wide HR Systems. As a liaison between IT and the business as it relates to HR systems, the team works directly with all the Lines of Business across all areas to make sure the HR systems are meeting their needs The Business Solution Consultant is responsible for partnering with other areas of the business to analyze processes, improve processes and leverage the return on technical capabilities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for the assigned functional area and assisting subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Business Solution Consultant mentors the Sr Business Solution Analyst.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

System Support/Maintenance:Responsible for production support, including researching and resolving issues and enhancements. Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to Year End Processing, Audits, resolution of Third-Party interface/data issues, and working on data imports and exports. Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that arise. Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS systems upgrades and patches. Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Process Redesign/Best Practices: Continually reviews current processes and recurring issues, recommending solutions or alternative methods to create a better user experience. Utilizes critical thinking skills to help analyze business issues, collaborates with stakeholders, is strategic, and gains consensus on the best solution. Participates in user group meetings/conferences to stay up to date on the newest trends.

Communication/Organization: Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals and reported issues. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Time Management:Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Self-motivated and able to manage their own time with little direction from management.Demonstrates the ability to work independently, remain organized, prioritize work, assist with multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail.

Training and Documentation:Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains new users on processes/functionality of the HRIS systems. Creates functional project documentation including business cases, process flow charts, requirements and scripts.

Reporting:Developsstandard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in the systems by running queries and analyzing data. Has hands on experience with the use of pivot tables andvlookupswithin excel. Responsible for production support, including researching and resolving issues, enhancement requests and process changes. Performs scheduled activities. Recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. 

Project Management: Leadsmid to large projects from initiation tocompletion. Manages theexpectations, timelines,meetings and resources asneeded.

Leadership: Provides coaching and mentor opportunities to other team members. Guides associate behavior by demonstrating positive leadership qualities.

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Business Solutions

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements : Normal office environment, some travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ of related experience

Type / focus of work experience required: Configuration and technical support ofvarious Human Resourcesapplications (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Taleo, PeopleSoft, etc.), Project Management experience, Mentor experience

Preferred Experience:

DegreePreferred: Bachelor’s or related work experience

Area of Study:MIS, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration

Years of Work ExperiencePreferred: 10+ years of related experience

5+ years of Workday experience in either: WD Recruiting, HR, Talent, or Compensation. Multiple areas a Plus.

Type / focus of work experience preferred:Configuration and support of Cornerstone and Workday; Project Management experience;

Bachelor’s Degree
