My client are a food manufacturing with a number of sites located in and around England and I am currently seeking a Environmental Manager. My client produce products which can be seen in every major retailer within the UK
The Role:
* An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environmental Specialist to oversee and shape the environmental performance and compliance.
* Be the subject matter expert on environmental legislation, ensuring all Premier Foods environmental activities comply with legal requirements and Premier policies
* Work with the Environmental, Social and Governance team on key focus areas
* Working with our sites to help deliver net zero carbon commitments by target date
* Devising the best tools and systems to monitor performance and to implement strategies to meet targets and to encourage best practice
* Develop, review and implement environmental policies and practices
* Assessing, analysing and collating environmental performance data and reporting information both internally and externally to customers and regulatory bodies within stated deadlines
* Liaising with internal staff including site environmental managers, senior managers and directors to drive the Environmental strategy
Ideal Candidate:
* Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
* At least five years experience in Environmental Management
* A genuine passion, interest in and understanding of environmental issues, relevant legislation and renewable energy sources
* Excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills
