An experienced Payroll Professional is required to manage the day-to-day delivery of integrated, cost-effective Payroll services to our clients wide ranging customer base.

Duties:

Manage, motivate, and develop the team in the delivery of payroll procedures and practices.
Oversee and deliver training & development of all team members, to ensure an understanding of individual customer terms and conditions is applied as appropriate.
Ensure continuous development of the team to allow for delivery against the individual customer Service Level Agreements
Regularly manage workload levels across the Delivery Teams to ensure they are delivered to a high standard and meet strict daily and monthly targets.
Generate and analyse workload figures, allocating work accordingly, setting and monitoring targets daily to ensure timely service delivery in line with payroll deadlines, individual customer SLA's and KPI's.
Produce regular reports and feedback to HR & Payroll Operational Management Team as required to support this work.
Performance manage the team, ensuring all team members are supported through an effective induction programme , monthly quality 1:1's and essential workload monitoring.
Ensure procedure manuals are kept up to date and through tight controls ensure the team are adhering to these in their day-to-day practice.
Establish and develop excellent working relationships with Managers and external customers to provide a professional service and effectively deal with complex issues and queries as referred by the team, ensuring a high level of professional support and customer care.
Manage and maintain customer relationships, communication, and expectations. Ensure consistent approaches are taken with regards to required outcomes and solutions.
Contribute to the continual improvement of systems and processes to achieve improved customer satisfaction of the service and service levels as defined by the HR & Payroll Operational Management Team.
Implement Quality assurance processes, including timely checking of daily work, accurate payroll report checking and completion of ad-hoc audits and surveys in order to inform best practice and training plans.
Lead on specific pieces of work or projects as defined by the HR & Payroll Operational Management Team and contribute appropriately on associated work with the development of services/systems to support customers and the business. Participate in training sessions provided to customers.
Share knowledge, ensuring involvement and participation from team members in briefings and meetings at all levels. Attend meetings as and when required, acting as an ambassador for the service, reviewing and ensuring actions are taken where feedback does not meet expectations.It is essential that you have solid experience in an operational payroll position, being considered as a payroll expert. You will have excellent payroll systems knowledge with experience of developing and implementing payroll procedures. Experience in supervising staff in a payroll environment is essential.
