This position is responsible for identifying and solving problems affecting one or more domains within the business. The analyst utilizes strong business acumen and analysis skills to understand and quantify the steps required, impacts, and benefits associated with implementing or changing business process, rules, policy, etc to impact performance.
The analyst is responsible for investigating business situations, identifying and evaluating options for improving business systems, defining requirements and ensuring the effective use of information in meeting the needs of the business.
Job Responsibilities:
Business Domain Analysis
Utilizes knowledge in specific business domain(s) and industry to provide operating context for analysis and business problem solving.Frames and structures cross-departmental problems with minimal supervisionUnderstanding and support of core metrics and key performance indicators for business, leading and lagging indicators and related historical performanceViewed as data resource in specific business area(s)Business Data Modeling, Reporting, & Business Intelligence
Collect, manipulate and analyze complex datasetsUse SQL systems and open source framework such as Hadoop to support utilization of Big Data/unstructured dataUnderstands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own workManages own workload and occasionally provides informal guidance to colleagues with less experienceSolves problems in straightforward situations; analyses possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents within level of authorityImpacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policiesTranslate the requirements to physical and financial aspects, such as software and hardware specificationsFacilitate the design and implementation of new data systems/processesCapture and maintenance of specific meta data elementsUtilize standard formulas and methods as are common in the industry and relevant to the current data in all phases (collection, analysis, reporting): Example variations and averages, create and interpret histogramsAssist with periodic reporting on quality metricsCommunications
Contributes to change initiatives by suggesting ways to clarify ambiguityExplains complex information to others in straightforward situationsPrepare reports or visualizations: graphs, charts, dashboardsAssist with development and delivery of Data Governance communicationsServe as a liaison between internal and external technical and business groups.Work as part of a team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the overall usefulness, integrity and security of data across the enterprise.Use reports and analyses to help management make decisions and set goalsChampion relevant data to appropriate users in an organization, and monitor the published data sources for usage/relevance/quality feedback.The above statement of duties is not intended to be all inclusive and other duties will be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.
Base Salary Range:
