Overview

Our mission is to help our customers by delivering media software solutions. We are challenging the way our customers work and educating them on how to do it better. With a global team of dedicated employees, Imagine Communications is leading the way in a fast-changing industry.

Why Imagine?

Imagine Communications offers a generous Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance package and HSA and 401(k) options with company matching. We like to make sure all our employees are safe when travelling so we’ve got travel insurance covered too. Employee Wellbeing is a priority for us, so all employees and their family have access to our EAP and Wellness programs, including LifeSpeak and Vitality. Volunteer in your community and we will pay for that too.

A Bit About The Role

We are seeking an innovative product owner to collaborate with our R&D team to provide compelling software to our customers utilizing SAFe Agile methodology. You will be responsible for defining stories and prioritizing work to streamline the execution of product priorities.

To ensure success as a product owner, you should demonstrate extensive knowledge of the North American broadcast industry and network or station operations. A product owner will be a self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize work to ensure alignment with product objectives.

  • Actively participate with the team to define, set, and complete iteration (sprint) and the overall program plan.
  • Create acceptance criteria on stories in alignment with user experience goals and NFRs
  • Ensure feature development is of high quality and meets acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to properly balance enablers and features
  • Collaborate on requirements with engineering throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Advocate for the customer and the business to create an innovative product for the industry.
  • Attending Agile ceremonies and being fully engaged as an active member of the scrum and product team.
  • Write SOUs (Statement of Use) documentation to drive alignment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Categorize issues coming from support and prioritize them into the backlog ensuring customer deadlines are met
  • Demonstrate new features and releases for internal and external audiences
  • Collect, incorporate, and prioritize feedback into the product backlog
  • Collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Product leadership teams on outward communications about the product and roadmap
  • Supporting sales in customer engagements, providing market and product expertise, inspiring confidence in the company and product organization
  • About You

You will have a passion for the broadcast industry and the software and processes involved in making tv happen! Alongside that you will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the broadcast or media industry.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment leveraging SCRUM
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Superb leadership, communication, and collaboration capabilities.
  • Excellent self-motivation, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Jira and Microsoft Teams. Basic SQL or Oracle DB experience is helpful.
  • Certified in SAFe Agile preferred, but not required.
  • Celebrating difference, together stronger

At Imagine Communications, we don’t just accept difference — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our customers, our employees, our products, and our communities. We are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect. Imagine Communications is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
