The candidate will have the traditional DBA skills; database performance optimization, procedure writing, replication activities along with some non-traditional DBA skills that are typically under a SysAdmin or Architect role; cloud provisioning, full stack monitoring, patching and other maintenance to keep our entire AWS datacenter running at optimal conditions. The goal of the position is to lead our database development and data center optimizations while keeping up with the day-to-day maintenance of the systems as we continue to grow. Your primary focus will be ensuring that our AWS environment is running at peak performance / cost and secondarily helping to lead our development staff with best practices and database code reviewing.
