Summary

The Payroll Operations Manager will be a leader within the logistics firm, and will oversee the entirety of the payroll department and all payroll processes for the logistics firm. The Payroll Operations Manager will manage a small team, and ultimately will be the main point of contact for global payroll with the logistics firm. With close to $4B in annual revenue, our client is a stable logistics firm that is located in the Wilmington, DE area and have consistently developed and grown over the past few years and are expected to grow even more within the next few quarters. The logistics firm has a strong understanding of excellent business practice/protocols that have allowed them to continue to develop and improve over the past few years. Description

  • Reconcile general ledger to supporting docs on a monthly basis and investigate variances.
  • Create and distribute monthly payroll statements/records
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, calculate sales commission and process other special payroll runs as necessary.
  • Process and file all monthly, quarterly and annual payroll taxes.
  • Create, update, and maintain appropriate documentation of all processes of accounting department
  • Involvement in various finance and accounting related projects as assigned by CFO/Leadership

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance
  • CPP preferred
  • Knowledge of Kronos, ADP, Workday or similar Payroll systems/functionalities
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organization/time management skills
