We're looking for a dedicated, passionate individual to help grow our diverse and talented team. This is a 100% remote contractor position open to candidates in Canada and the United States. Are you a detail-oriented person who is driven by delivering quality and following best practices? Do you enjoy working in various areas of the development process and providing recommendations to clients? Then this could be the right place for you!Stack Builders is an international software consultancy founded in New York and with main offices in Quito, Ecuador. We work on exciting, diverse projects with an extensive international clientbase. At the moment we are looking for someone to work with WordPress and PHP in an application for one of our largest clients. Some experience with React and Gatsby is ideal, but not a hard requirement.Requirements You have thorough knowledge of PHP and have done custom work in WordPress. Ideally you have an understanding of React.js and its core principles and you feel comfortable developing in a Gatsby application for static site generation. (Nice to have) You are proficient with modern front-end web technologies and techniques; fluency with HTML and CSS is preferred. You value clean and well-structured OOP code as well as automated tests. You have a high English level since you will be in direct contact with our clients. You are analytical, enjoy problem-solving, and have assertive communication skills. You are able to work proactively with cross-functional teams to ensure the fulfillment of client requirements. You have experience working with and implementing mockups. You are available to work at least 4 hours overlapping with the PST (GMT-7) workday. You have a Degree in Computer Science or related.
