Job Description

A large healthcare organization headquarted in Albany,. NY has and opportunity for a Facilities Contracts Negotiator.



The Contracts Negotiator will be the negotiation lead for hospitals (including Integrated Delivery Systems), ambulatory surgery centers and skilled nursing facilities. Owner of end-to-end process for facility contracting including compliance with company templates, reimbursement standards and process controls. Works with sales, medical management and finance to develop actions to meet market growth and medical cost targets.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:


  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

  • 5 year's healthcare contracting for facilities.

  • Experience contracting for commercial, Medicare and Medicaid lines of business 

  • Understanding of value based contracting and models, complex negotiations and rate methodologies.

  • Knowledge of two or more payment models including capitation, bundled payments, and/or risk-sharing arrangements is required.

  • Understanding of legal and regulatory contract compliance and network adequacy requirements is required.

  • In-depth understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and New York State fee schedules and payment methodologies is required.

  • Ability to work independently when performing work, including, but not limited to; negotiations, analysis, monitoring queues and developing network strategy.
