DevOps Engineer - Remote

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote DevOps Engineer. Duties and responsibilities include:

• DevOps Engineer is responsible for direct administration and management of multiple Linux based technologies: Weblogic, Apache, Oracle Service Bus and Entrust
• Perform installations, configuration, upgrades, performance improvements and troubleshooting
• Ensuring security controls are in place
• Expedient remediation of security/risk vulnerabilities
• DevOps Engineer will be liaising with external parties such as vendors and suppliers
• Conducting daily maintenance checks to ensure quality
• Implement automated monitoring for quick detection of warnings and proactive action in order to prevent website outages
• DevOps Engineer will be involved in performance tuning of WebLogic and related Linux configuration
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, excessive garbage collection, stuck thread issues and other java coding problems
• Deploy web applications, EJB components, and enterprise applications
• DevOps Engineer will assist in Code Deployments when primary is OOO

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 years of enterprise web administration experience
• Specialized in website administration utilizing several Linux based applications: Weblogic, Apache, Oracle Service Bus and Entrust; Weblogic Admin is the primary skill set as well as strong Linux skills sufficient to support Weblogic and a few other software products
• Familiar with Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring/alerting
• Any relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
