In this role, you’ll be responsible for reviewing, researching, investigating and triaging all types of claims, appeals and grievances. You’ll drive the action and communicate with appropriate parties regarding claims issues. In return, we’ll provide you with great training, support and opportunities.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise daily/weekly/monthly activities of a team members including setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
  • Coordinate work activities with other supervisors, managers, departments, etc.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
  • Provide coaching, feedback and annual performance reviews as well as formal corrective action
  • This is a challenging role with serious impact. We’ll look to you to motivate and empower your team to provide best in class service. You’ll need to combine expertise and exceptional claims support with analyzing and researching complex claims.

    Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent years of work experience
  • 1+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and solving problems in an office, claims or customer service environment
  • Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance. 
  • Preferred Qualiifcations:

  • 2+ years of claims, appeals or grievance experience
  • Soft Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task including the ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product

    Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $43,200 to $76,700. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $47,700 to $84,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
