Can you analyze, build, test, support and maintain systems that will benefit our hospital system and those we serve? If so, we’d like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

This is a remote position – incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only, may work at home, on the road or in a satellite location for all or part of their workweek. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location.

All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork.

Note that our employee health plan coverage is for providers based in the Legacy Health geographic region. To find providers in our network click here. Urgent and emergent coverage is available outside Legacy Health’s geographic region and telehealth is available within Oregon and Washington.

This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the remote schedule.

Legacy Health is in an active search for an experienced Identity Engineer to help lead the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Program. The Principal Engineer (PE) role is accountable for designing and developing processes and automation to support our identity services team. This role will be a key member of our IAM program, supporting automation and administration of the IAM tools. Identity governance and privilege access management are key priorities. Candidates should have expertise in Role Based Access Control methodologies, ITSM methodologies, script development, and Microsoft authentication technologies. Legacy is implementing a new identity governance tool so this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of that implementation from the ground.

The Principal Engineer serves as the senior technical member of an engineering team. The position works across multiple disciplines to deliver IS products and services to the organization that scale efficiently while improving performance and minimizing costs.

The Principal Engineer works to coordinate strategies, create standards, pilot new capabilities, build and design automated workflows, and connect multiple services or product lines within the organization. As a thought leader for the team the Principal Engineer works with peers to ensure technology systems and services standards are adopted, implemented, and kept up to date. This will require the principal engineer to have a strong background in design and implementation of infrastructure, software, applications, and security. The position requires experience and strong knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies to deliver information services in an efficient and repeatable manner.

The Principal Engineer works with customers, stakeholders, analysts, architects, and other engineers to troubleshoot and find root cause of technology and security defects. They must be excellent team players and have demonstrated experience across multiple systems, knowledge of numerous scripting languages, and the ability to rapidly automate solutions.
