Product Owner, Software, Product Manager, Remote Working
An experienced Product Owner or Product Manager is required to take ownership of several software product areas, as my client looks to further develop the software running on and supporting their rapidly growing estate of thousands of powerful IOT-like hardware units.
The Company
The Product Owner / Product Manager will be joining a company featured in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 and supplying their products to some of the world's biggest retailers, they have achieved growth of 2,500% in 4 years. With a head office in Oxfordshire, their tech team works fully remotely, but looks to meet on a monthly basis to collaborate and knowledge-share. As well as the benefits you'd expect, a bonus scheme is in place with a target of 30% of base salary if company targets are achieved.
The Role
With responsibility for several product areas and their respective backlogs, the Product Owner / Product Manager will fact-find out in the field to spot potential new product opportunities, whilst also working to understand customer needs through working alongside key customers. Prioritising the deliverables and briefing the development teams (so they understand what to build and why they're building it) to start the product development process, the Product Owner / Product Manager will then focus and refine minimum viable products to deliver real measurable value.
What does the Product Owner / Product Manager need?
- Previous Product Owner/Product Manager experience, with software products
- Technical "nous" and interest - a desire to really understand the product areas you're responsible for
- A thorough understanding and experience of Agile work practices and processes
- Flexibility
- The communication skills to work with multiple teams and customers, with the ability to understand and convey information, as well as being able to persuade when necessary!
