In 2021, your team has been tasked with delivering a global commerce platform using cloud-native approaches to software development and leading technologies such as event-driven architectures and microservices. Your Responsibilities:
Empower your people by articulating the technical vision/strategy to deliver the commerce systems, including milestones and measurable results, then help your team by removing any obstacles in their way. Show the way by always learning yourself, then develop your team by creating opportunities for them to grow and achieve their career goals. Communicate your technical direction and requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the Engineering teams, as well as the Product and Design organizations.
About You:
You are a results-driven engineer with at least 3 years of engineering management experience, a Computer Science background or relevant full-stack/backend engineering experience or you are senior level software engineer looking to move into Engineering management. You still like to code in languages such as Java (Core Java) and JavaScript, and you possess a strong understanding of data structures, object-oriented design principles, performance tuning and troubleshooting. You have a passion and track record for hiring and developing diverse teams of software engineers.
