In this highly visible customer facing role as a Consulting Engineer, you will:-Engage with customers and other client stakeholders on successful planning and execution of validation engagements.-Support next generation R, Data Center, and Service Provider customers to accelerate implementation of new platforms/solutions.-Validate new design solutions to meet customer requirements.-Drive requirements discussions, analyze test requirements, build test lab configurations, author and execute test plans, and document results.-Identify key issues and gaps and work with engineering and delivery teams to resolve them.-Develop/integrate new technologies into lab environments.-Collaborate with Solution Architects from Delivery and Sales teams regarding future initiatives and securing customer business.-Innovate to gain efficiency and accelerate validation efforts. Collaborate with other engineers to ensure successful project delivery.-Identify and facilitate new business growth opportunities.*Our team is focused on validating complex customer-specific networks and accelerating adoption of new technologies and solutions.*Our team has expertise across the breadth of the Cisco product portfolio along with extensive expertise in a variety of third- party and competitive products. With hundreds of engineers and world-class facilities around the world, our team helps design and deploy the technologies our customers need to give their business a competitive edge in today's business climate.*As part of this team, you will help drive client growth by designing next generation solution validation labs and by validating these solutions for Enterprise and SP customers. You will also help inform customers about trending network technologies and drive accelerated adoption of new technologies and solutions. Minimum Requirements**Candidates must have extensive Cisco IOS-XR experience from a service provider environment**-Customer Facing experience-Previous experience in a customer support or TAC-style role-Ability and experience debugging and troubleshooting complex network problems -Routing and Switching experience, R and/or SP CCNP -Strong knowledge of Cisco SP platforms (GSR, CRS, ASR9K, ASR1K, NCS5500)-Experience in all or most of the following: ISIS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, LAN Switching, STP, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, Multicast, Virtualization, EVPN, QoS, IPv6, MST, PIM, DMVPN, NetFlow-Programming experience/familiarity (Python / Robot Framework preferred)-Linux/Unix experience-Proficient with Industry Test Tools; Spirent or Ixia preferred-Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and formal presentation) Desired Skills-CCIE - Service Provider or R-4G Mobility experience-Cisco ASA, IPSEC Tunneling, VxLAN, NFVi-Openstack and VMWare Virtualization-Multimedia traffic analysis experience-Network programmability (Python, Netconf, Yang)-Test and validation experience (hardware or software)
