Summary
The Solution Architect - SAP provides leadership, functional, and technical support for various business units utilizing the SAP platform. The SAP Lead Solution Architect will need to have in-depth knowledge and understand the SAP products and have worked on enterprise-wide implementations of SAP involving people, process, and technology changes. The solution architect is responsible for the overall design and implementation of software solutions and mapping business requirements to systems/technical requirements. In addition, this individual has the technical skills and experience needed to develop cost-effective, timely solutions that meet functional and performance requirements while focusing on best-value and component reuse.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to adapt to technology shifts over time. These skills include the ability to define, influence, and communicate technical direction, to make decisions, to be driven, and work autonomously to ensure the successful implementation of solutions. Leading, mentoring, assigning tasks and assisting individual contributors is a requirement for this position. This individual must work collaboratively with other team members across technical disciplines. Apply knowledge of business processes and technology to solve complex business solution needs. Articulate recommendations through compelling presentations and architectural blueprint documents to a variety of audiences

Essential Duties 60%
Contributes to highly complex projects that require in-depth SAP technical knowledge.
Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
Understand and transform business requirements into scalable/manageable SAP solution architectures and design specifications.
Develop strong business relationships with business areas responsible
Partner with other functions across IT (Scrum Master, BA, EA, Security, Operations) to ensure collaboration, consistency, quality, and timeliness of solutions
Has strong stand on SAP functional and technical best practices when designing solutions and is able to promote them in a collaborative environment 20%
Participate in the delivery of business solutions that follow standard Agile processes.
Ensure self and development team adheres to design and development patterns and standards.
Maintain and enhance integration solutions, including off-hours support of business-critical business solutions.
Ensure proper response and resolution to problems.
Provide mentoring on advanced development concepts and technical capabilities to developers. 20%
Develop and maintain a model of Enterprise Development solutions and architecture patterns
Define standards to guide solution decisions with regards to the integration of systems for the enterprise.
Create prototypes and author detailed interaction specifications.
Work closely with other Solution Architects to ensure consistency and quality of solutions and knowledge sharing. Continuous improvement and exploration of industry standards and technology advances.

Technical knowledge/skills
Minimum 12 plus years of IT/ERP implementation and lifecycle management experience
Strong knowledge SAP Modules: MM, PP, FSCM, FICO, SD, PM, WM and QM.
Strong knowledge of Ariba, Hybris, and other SAP cloud modules
Strong knowledge of SAP Basis including SolMan, and Solution Explorer.
In-depth knowledge of process best practices
In-depth knowledge of SAP system configuration and security
In-depth knowledge of SAP system development tools and languages is required
Advanced knowledge of industry best practices in the various aspects of IT, technology trends, enterprise operations knowledge and the ability to develop solutions to implement key business strategies.
Understand the big picture and be able to connect dots across SAP and Non-SAP technologies and develop solutions catering to cross-technology integrations with SAP Good knowledge of Test-driven development.
Advanced knowledge of SDLC, code management concepts and platforms.
Intermediate understanding of network and data center architecture, as well as application development methodologies. General knowledge/skills
