What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with team of talented data engineers on building and maintaining mission critical data pipelines powering flagship data products – with Python, Airflow, AWS, Snowflake, SQL Server
- Work with data scientists and analysts on automating and scaling elaborate data models
- Support web developers with back-end database integrations
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and project plans
- Propose and help build systems and practices for monitoring health and performance
- Mentor team on best practices via code reviews and teach-ins
- Assist with identifying and evaluating transformative emerging technologies
What You Have
- 5+ years of overall data, systems development, and integration experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Bachelor or graduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven experience planning and building critical technology solutions
- Proficient with SQL, and solid experience with at least one modern programming language (Python, Scala, Java, C#)
- Fluent with concepts of database normalization, star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, query optimization, and beyond
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Airflow, AWS, Docker a plus
- Intellectually curious, highly driven with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Insatiable hunger for solving complex, difficult big data problems with a sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build and lead a team of analysts
- Strong desire to be a part of a high-growth, rapidly evolving business
