Description

Global Marketing Manager - Surgical Tables (REMOTE U.S or Cary, NC) will provide the strategy development, execution and product lifecycle management of the Premium Surgical Tables portfolio . With a focus on robotic and imaging integrations , the role will develop strategies to achieve growth and profitability goals and provide strategic input to the Director Precision Positioning and VP of GSS Marketing. This role requires both domestic and international travel up to 20 %- 30 %.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Align with Director, Precision Positioning to develop, lead and deliver the portfolio strategy and global commercial marketing plan that comprises strategy, value proposition, positioning, messaging, etc and guidelines to drive regional execution; ensure strong collaboration with regional constituents
  • Support governance of regional and country marketing strategies to ensure alignment with global guidelines
  • Communicate the strategy and secure buy-in from Global Surgical Solutions (GSS) marketing leadership team and key industry partners
  • Define clinical research requirements to support the roadmap and product launches
  • Develop robotic, imaging, and technology integration roadmaps together with R&D organization 
  • Solicit, synthesize, and incorporate local best practices into global strategy
  • Partner with the Strategic Alliance team to support the integration of new business alliances
  • Create regulatory strategy with partners in Regional Marketing, Product Marketing and Regulatory Affairs 
  • Develop and track key business performance indicators to identify necessary countermeasure to achieving business/market goals. Responsible to execute countermeasures.
  • Product Management

  • Lifecycle management of products, including product launch, phase-out, incremental improvements and line extensions 
  • Continuous evaluation of user needs and clinical trends to define products and enhancements over the product lifecycle
  • Assess market potential for the right segment/targets, develop strategic business plan capitalizing on future market needs and opportunities. 
  • Monitoring of product manufacturing costs, and identification of trends and opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Market & Competition Analysis and Product Positioning

  • Lead/oversee the development of overarching strategic plan for market launches, sales product training, messaging and positioning in coordination with commercial and marketing leadership.
  • Research and analyze business information to develop an understanding of the industry and competitive environment; stay in tune with any market forces or business drivers that would be influential to future markets.
  • Collaborate with key customers, sales, services and market research to define marketing level product/service requirements, including business value and prioritization of potential features and benefits.
  • Provide industry expertise to the Surgical and Marketing Leadership Team to enable an understanding of the overall trends and possibilities in the marketplace to extend our business through new ventures and solutions.
  • Develop and deliver product and competitor related content for training, educational events and launches objectives. Works effectively using guidance and influence to effect change and improvement.
  • Ensure usability of new products by specifying user requirements, assessment of the design solution and coordination of usability tests
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in life sciences consulting and / or marketing in a life sciences corporation (preferably medical device, diagnostics or capital equipment)
  • At least 3 years of experience in an upstream / global marketing capacity; knowledge of medical applications preferred
  • Demonstrated career progression in previous roles
  • Deep and broad marketing experience with, new product identification and development, product launch, ongoing product management, and lifecycle management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to facilitate large group meetings to a successful outcome
  • Proven ability to influence others, including those in other functions and in more senior positions
  • Strong multi-tasking ability and comfort with leading initiatives across multiple businesses at the same time
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Global mindset with the ability to see the big picture and create strategy for an organization and communicate that strategy and vision to the team 
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity 
  • Ability to travel up to 30 % (domestic and international)
  • Regional / country marketing experience, preferred
