As *Associate Director Medical Writing* you will act as a senior member of our medical writing management team, leading a team of writers, and providing strategic support to the department as well as our internal and external stakeholders.

Other responsibilities will include:

* Interviews and selects team members according to department/sponsor needs.

* Takes a lead role in the development of department procedures and initiatives.

* Collaborates with other departments to identify, investigate, and implement new business opportunities.

* Coordinates writing activities with the project teams for document development.

* Provides strategic direction for regulatory writing, publication writing, or regulatory submission programs.

* Trains and mentors other medical writers.

*Location**:** *Europe: Office-based or remote

You will be a highly motivated and dynamic medical writing professional with a strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, a positive attitude, and ambition to make things happen.

* Bachelor's degree in science or a health-related field (an advanced degree is preferred).

* Substantial experience writing for CROs/pharma or biotechnology.

* Demonstrate strong ability to manage technical staff and enhance individual performance.

* Exhibit solid knowledge of appropriate guidelines, regulations, and working practices.

* Display excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* 7 years of leadership experience in medical writing, including at least 3 years of formal people management experience
