Director Product Management, Standalone Services

Omnicell’s goal is to transform the pharmacy delivery model by continuing to build a fully autonomous pharmacy. Our goal is to improve patient safety, reduce labor cost, reduce drug spend and improve value in the pharmacy supply chain. As part of this journey, we are evolving our business model from a capital-intensive model to a services and subscription driven model. A critical element of our evolution is to innovate while making it easier for our customers to adopt our solutions and find success.

That includes creating services support our customers in finding success when adopting new solutions or identifying new ways of achieving their goals – and that is where you come in.

In this role, you will excel at:

  • Understanding how our customers run their operations, optimize their business processes and effectively adopt technology and service solutions
  • Understanding current opportunities and barriers across Omnicell solutions that could be alleviated by new service solutions
  • Working with others on creative solutions that may include people-based and packaged services solutions to solve customer needs
  • Leading and collaborating on solution design, development, and commercialization of new service offerings that are not tied to specific product lines
  • Maximizing customer effectiveness of these new service offerings in predictable and scalable ways by working collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal stakeholders
  • Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the customer and sales teams to understand and document customer and market needs around new and additional support needed within the hospital pharmacy to drive to desired Omnicell outcomes.
  • Respond opportunistically and proactively to define new people-based services, leveraging a product development mind-set . Working in partnership with Customer Experience, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other team members to design, commercialize and operationalize to consistently deliver solutions and outcomes for our customers.
  • Be a passionate transformer in overcoming resistance to changewhile navigating ambiguity and risk with a deeply thought-through execution strategy.
  • Create new processes and evolve existing processes to create, design, develop and manage a portfolio of standalone services,includingdefining value proposition, identifying services requirements, and packaging the service offering in ways to drive adoption.
  • Offer your expertise in developing people-based services to  advise other product teams to create and / or evolve their tech-enabled service offerings.
  • Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to think strategically while translating that strategy into plans, from ideation through launch
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, group presentations
  • Flexibility to partner with and negotiate with colleagues and customers at all levels inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to listen, communicate, and motivate teams to understand and appropriately respond to market and business needs and make effective decisions
  • Working cross-functionally in new product development or service development process
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time and effectively prioritize to achieve optimal results
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information, and make sound decisions
  • A self-starter who can work independently and take accountability for achieving results
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years’ experience defining, building, and iterating on people-based services or web-based SaaS products
  • 5+ years’ experience delivering services in the healthcare space
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred
  • Demonstrable prior experience driving business growth using aaS/subscription-based business models
  • Demonstrable ability to execute in high growth, fast changing environments
  • Work Conditions

  • Home-office based position
  • Extended periods of time in front of a computer using video technology
  • 25% travel (subject to change)
