Optum Digital UX provides a collaborative community of 30 team members focused on improving and simplifying the complex healthcare experience. This role will work closely alongside 4 fun, motivated and agile engineers in support of uhc.com. Uhc.com is the flagship website for UnitedHealthcare with about 1,000 pages of content appealing to 41 different audience segments. Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide support for the Consumer Experience on UHC consumer sites as needed by Optum Digital Product team
• Create UI Design, UI components, Visual Design elements as required
• Explore emerging opportunities in the digital healthcare space, evaluate and evangelize as needed
• Learn from and support the UI Design System and improve the components incrementally
• Lead discussion and critique of work, solicit requirements from stakeholders, be a key partner in helping deliver on our mission
• Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
• Anticipate customer needs and proactively develops solutions
• Maintain a design culture of simple, seamless interfaces and components
• Review work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement
• Authorize deviations from current standards based on analytics or evidence-based observations
• May lead functional or segment teams or projects
• Motivate and inspire other team members

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Graphic/Web Design
• 4+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• 4+ years of experience with Sketch or Figma
• 4+ years of experience with InVision
• 4+ years of experience with Presentation Design
• 4+ years of experience communicating at a high level with multiple stakeholders
• 2+ years of experience with Axure
• 2+ years of experience working in or creating Design Systems and UI components for Digital Platforms
• 2+ years of experience and proven ability to work across a matrixed multi-tiered organization and deliver the best possible outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+years of hands-on experience with Agile software development
• 4+ years of product model experience
• 4+ years of experience in information architecture
• 4+ years of experience in user research (design and facilitation)
• 4+ years of experience in interaction design
• 2+ years of experience in journey mapping
• 2+ years of experience in persona development
• 2+ years of experience in heuristic evaluation
