Salary: £70,000-120,000 base + bonus
Perfect opportunity for a talented engineer well-versed in Kubernetes to join a London-based fund. This role, which has the potential for up to 100% remote working (ideally with a visit to the London office a few times a year to say hello and join in social events) offers the opportunity to set up a lot of the architecture and be the go-to person for Kubernetes and Big Data at the firm. You'll face off to the engineers and quants as it will be used extensively across the business.
They are currently in the process of ramping up their use of Kubernetes, with multiple clusters being used for big data analysis and microservices; as a result, they need someone to oversee the management of this process. This role would be perfect for someone with extensive Big Data and microservices experience, with the ability to set the standard for others. Currently they use Azure, but candidates with experience in Google cloud or AWS are also encouraged to apply.
The successful Kubernetes Engineer is someone who thrives when given large amounts of autonomy and is a skilled communicator. Experience with ETL platforms, airflow, data loading, processing data in parallel and storing is also useful.
For this role, you can be based in the UK or in Europe.
