Together, we're working at the pace of change on diagnostic tools that address the world's biggest health challenges, driven by knowing that behind every test there is a patient waiting.Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.The Global Intercompany Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, tracking, and reconciling of all intercompany trade and non-trade transactions recorded globally, ensuring appropriate accounting, tax and compliance standards are accurately reported on and followed consistently.The ideal candidate will be able to leverage their intercompany accounting, reporting acumen and technical expertise to drive process improvements throughout the global financial reporting and consolidations function. This individual will also contribute to improvements in the monthly financial close process driving on-going efficiencies and environment of continuous improvement. This position will report into the Director, Consolidations and Reporting.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Monitor all intercompany transactions including: payables, receivables, revenue, cost of sales, investments, equity and profit in inventory transactions at the legal entity level in the US and Internationally to ensure all intercompany inventory movements, transfer pricing, cross charge and allocations are being recorded and classified correctly for elimination purposes.Monitor accuracy/reasonableness of the system eliminations for intercompany revenue, cost of goods and markup. Investigate variance and work with the Consolidation team to ensure intercompany AR/AP variance and markup are properly eliminated.Provide on-going guidance and support to the Consolidation and IT teams on identifying reconciling items and errors in intercompany transactions, the cleansing of automation errors and solutioning automation opportunities to reduce and eliminate manual workarounds.Enforce consistency, completeness, and accuracy in the recording of intercompany transactions globally through development of global standards, effective communication, and training programs with key business stakeholders in IT, Regional Accounting, Tax and Cost Accounting teams.SME for all intercompany Go-To-Market (GTM) activities, or new SAP entity set up, providing design and requirements input, supporting UAT activities and ensuring new SAP set-ups adhere to global intercompany standards.Partner with Corporate Tax to ensure all transfer pricing and inventory transfer mark-ups (MU) are recorded and accounted for correctly in SAP and in accordance with business and global transfer pricing standards and requirements.Support global tax structure as global statutory and regulatory requirements evolve.Partner with the cost accounting team to ensure monthly and quarterly intercompany inventory mark-ups are correctly eliminated from inventory value, variances investigated, and process change needs identified, designed, and implemented with the appropriate level of user training and support.Provide all intercompany reporting needed to support local, state and corporate tax filings as well as any other ad hoc reporting requests from Danaher Corporate.Provide on-going support to the Director, Consolidations & Reporting for project and day-to-day activities as needed.The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's degree in Accounting / CPA preferred.10 years + of relevant intercompany accounting experience.Ability to disaggregate, analyze and reconcile consolidated financial data in an accurate and timely manner.Advanced proficiency in Excel.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Preference for candidates that have Inventory Accounting experience who have worked in a manufacturing and/or distribution environments.Knowledge of the business enterprise functions and processes.SAP knowledge preferred, esp.
