Bid Manager
The Bid Manager role involves supporting the business and in particular the CEO, Bid Managers (BM), Bid Writers (BW) and Account Managers (AM) in writing and developing a response to customer's tenders (PQQs, RFPs, ITTs).
The Bid Manager is responsible for the quality of all aspects of the bid, including written documentation and presentations. They ensure all bid documentation is clear, concise and - crucially - compelling. They source and co-ordinate content input to ensure the standard of all documentation and presentation material is first class and distinguishes our clients bid from others by closely matching the buyer's requirements.
The Bid Manager should be highly motivated, innovative, customer focused and have a 'can do' attitude. They should be an experienced manager, able to motivate and inspire others; able to obtain a high level of work from the team to ensure all deadlines are met efficiently and that the bid is of the highest quality possible. They will be able to write outstanding bid content and proactively identify new concepts or approaches to service delivery through engagement with our clients.
Excellent communications skills are a must, both verbal and written - the importance of being able to converse and liaise with all bid contributors is essential. You will have multiple working relationships with Bid Writers, Bid Managers and Account Managers. Meeting tender deadlines. Ensuring correct governance is followed, especially for progress of tender/bid content. Evidenced early planning and storyboard mapping. Reviewing the quality of content.

Essential Soft FM Sector experience.
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Bid management experience and demonstrable win rate.
Able to motivate a team.
High attention to detail with an excellent editing and proofing ability.
Excellent literacy skills, with an extensive vocabulary.
Demonstrable leadership skills.
Effective decision maker.
Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
Strong inter-personal and planning skills.
Ability to handle multiple bids at one time, thrives in a busy environment.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Strong work ethic (remote working environment)
A positive contributor to teamwork Good IT skills - must have experience of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe.
Desirable Familiarity with the Shipley and APMP good practice in bidding methodologies
